Engage In Local Missions
In a world that needs Christ more than ever, you can strengthen and grow the global church through ministries of compassion, developing leaders, and sharing the good news.
Blessed to be a blessing. As Christians we not only get the opportunity to share in relationship with God, but also we have the privilege to share His blessings with those around us. Those blessing are shared through us in forms of prayer, serving, and giving. We can pray for local and global missions and intercede on their behalf, praying for their staff, the people they serve, and specific prayer requests. We can also serve local and global missions by joining into the work they do, and using our hands and feet to share God’s blessings. We can also give monetary and specific needs to local and global missions, enabling them to continue the work God has called them to do.
Our hope at Faith Church is to invite you into a spiritual journey of engaging in missions.
Are you looking for a ministry to support with gifts of time or money? Here is a list of local missions:
January Mission of the Month: International Association for Refugees
Faith Church is again partnering with the International Association for Refugees (IAFR). IAFR was established in 2009 in response to the need for an international Christian nonprofit agency devoted to the mission of helping people survive and recover from forced displacement. They seek to be a tangible expression of God’s love for those who have been forced to flee their homes and homelands due to war, violence, persecution, and gross violations of human rights.
Visit their website for more information: https://iafr.org/
Jacob Tornga, Assistant Director of Training at IAFR, will be here to share more about this ministry. We will receive the mission of the month offering on Sunday, January 25, but you can contribute throughout the month either in the offering plate or online HERE (select MISSION OF THE MONTH under the fund menu.)
